Weekend Shenanigans

Finally we have caught a break and are headed in the right direction with Cameron's recovery. We spent Wednesday and Thursday in SLC just to make sure we were close to a hospital if the bleeding started again. Guess what? IT DIDN'T! He still doesn't have a lot of energy but man it's nice to have him back and progressing to the normal husband I know.

Friday night was really hard for me because we had to go back home. I just had this overwhelming fear that we would end up in the ER again. It seemed like anytime we went home something bad happened. That wasn't the case this time, I'm still a nervous wreck when Cameron coughs or eats anything hot or hard but I know I have to step back and let him recover. He knows what he can handle better than I do.

We had a pretty busy Saturday, spent a few hours on base and then we went home to get ready for our family's annual Ugly Sweater Party. It was nice to get out of the house, even if it was only for a couple hours. Everyone was so happy to see him and see that he was doing better.

While at the party, there was this food (fat kid at heart) CRANBERRY SALSA. I was super hesitant to try it at first but once I did, I couldn't stop. It was the best thing I've ever tasted. I'm afraid to make my own batch because I will most likely sit on my couch and eat the whole thing while watching my Christmas movies.

Overall we had a really good day Saturday seeing our friends and family and just getting out of the house in general. I also hung up the curtains in my room which I have been wanting to hang for weeks! It really is amazing what some curtains will do for a room. It feels so much more cozy now!

Sunday was a day of relaxation and laundry. I despise laundry but I got it all done and put away since I hadn't had any downtime for a week or so to do it.

Finally, yesterday started my LAST WEEK OF WORK! I can't believe I'm leaving GB on Friday. I feel like I just put in my notice, but I actually put it in 4 months ago. Boy how these last few months have been flying by. I really will miss the people that I work with, they've become like my second family since we spend so much time together. However, I'm really excited to start my new adventure. After I go to California, of course!

Christmas is in 17 days! I have finished pretty much all of my Christmas shopping but still have a couple more people to buy for.

I hope y'all had a great weekend!
